About the Makers
Bird Kin Messages was created by two profound artists. Karma Leigh is a Chicana artist and educator from Colorado who was blessed to grow up between two worlds - the urban life of the city and the natural wonders of the Rockies. Sumer is a Choctaw/Cherokee/Saudi writer and artist based in Colorado. Bird Kin is a spirit-led project that was crowdsourced and community supported. It is a journey of healing and education.
Civil Alchemy is a handmade, slow fashion brand founded by Kelley Hall-Barr, and her son, Ian VanDam. When not running the brick-and-mortar Ian travels, seeking out like-minded artisans and makers, forging relationships with creatives all around the world which allows for collaboration on a local and international level.
Girl w/ Knife is the creative vision of artist Elicia Castaldi. Elicia combines her collage and paper lust with her love of fashion, travel, and a good laugh. Her illustrations are a mixture of paint, cut paper, and digital elements, and her fierce white cat keeps a watchful eye on her creative processes ensuring products that are feminine, authentic, and unapologetic. They believe in a life lived glamorously, with reckless abandon, in 6 inch stilettos. Made and printed in Los Angeles.

Bandits Bandanas is co-founded by Nicole & Connor Humphreys, a couple of self-proclaimed "bandana enthusiasts." While traveling internationally, their frayed and sweaty bandanas became essential daily items. Scratchy pesticide cotton, boring patterns, and suspect manufacturing was the reason they created Bandits. They now work with artists to create mind-blowing bandana designs that are rooted in collaboration, inspire original expression, and create positive change. All bandanas raise funds for important causes all over the world.
