Down by the River Print
Down by the River Print by Elana Gabrielle
This scene was created using gouache, colored pencil, cut paper collage, and digital tools and features imagery inspired by the natural world. The print is produced with biodegradable hemp fiber, chosen specifically because it is a fast-growing renewable agricultural crop. Hemp matures in as few as 90 days, unlike trees which are harvested for paper after many years of growth. Hemp also requires much less water, energy, and time to produce. It has a lovely texture and prints beautifully.
