About the Makers
Joy Sullivan is a poet, freelancer, and writing instructor. During the pandemic, she decided to leave her full-time job and instead, give her days to poems. She wanted to bring as many people to poetry as possible. As a result, she has led writing workshops in classrooms, rehabilitation centers, art museums, and bars. She believes that anyone can write a poem if given a chance and that we’d all be better off if we did. Her days are spent reading, writing, teaching, and poeming.
