About the Makers
Latin@ Owned Nopalera was founded to elevate and celebrate Latin@ culture and is inspired by the beauty and richness of Mexico. The nopal cactus is an ancient symbol of Mexican culture. It’s also one of the most sustainable, nourishing, and resilient crops in the world. You can eat it, make textiles from it, and use it to hydrate your skin and hair.
Urb Apothecary is founder, Leyna Allred's, vision for bringing the healing power of plants into daily beauty and grooming rituals, and reconnecting individuals with their own natural beauty while being mindful of environmental impact. Every product is intentionally made in her studio in California. Materials are sourced from only the purest quality, fair-trade, organic, and local suppliers.
Paper Anchor Co is a plant-inspired gift and stationery brand founded in 2017 by designer, Desiree Perez. Her hand-painted illustrations have become useful accessories to remind you of the strength and beauty in all things botanical.
We met Elana Gabrielle at a Sauvie Island farmers market and fell in love. She is an illustrator, maker, and designer of printed textile and paper goods for the body and home. Using natural fibers and renewable materials, the shapes and colors are inspired by wild and varied landscapes from foggy beaches to desert dunes, and invite mindful connection with the natural world, both in the home and out in the wild.
Bandits Bandanas is co-founded by Nicole & Connor Humphreys, a couple of self-proclaimed "bandana enthusiasts." While traveling internationally, their frayed and sweaty bandanas became essential daily items. Scratchy pesticide cotton, boring patterns, and suspect manufacturing was the reason they created Bandits. They now work with artists to create mind-blowing bandana designs that are rooted in collaboration, inspire original expression, and create positive change. All bandanas raise funds for important causes all over the world.
