Handmade Felt Ornaments from la Puerta Abierta

Each of these ornaments has been handcrafted by the mothers of the students attending la Puerta Abierta school in Santíago Atítlan, Guatemala. Every animal is one-of-a-kind, with love sewn into every stitch, and embellished with pieces of Corte (traditional Mayan fabric). All sales support the non-profit school, library, and community center's work.

Details
Each ornament hangs approx 7-9” long, depending on the size of the animal & the length of the hanging loop.
The exceptions are the wee Avo-Cat-Do that hangs approx 5” long and the flamboyant Quetzal that hangs approx 11.5” long.
Corte fabric and stitching detail varies on each piece.
